COOKIES!!!!!

Hey Y'all,

Hope everyone enjoyed their weekend, I know mine was amazing.  This week we have been baking up a storm at our house.  Where I work we had a home fragrance event and we had to make our favorite candle into some type of dessert.  So my favorite candle was the S'mores candle and I didn't want to make the typical s'mores.  So what I did was take a sugar cookie and bake them. You can either use store bought, slice & bake or homemade ones, which ever you have time for.  I made homemade ones and then once they cooled on the rack frosted them with Marshmallow Puff.  Take plain Graham Crackers put them in a Ziploc bag and crush them till they are fine crumbs.  Top the cookies with the crumbs and mini chocolate chips. They taste like s'mores and the best part is they aren't too messy.

The next cookie that we made was a Colossal Chocolate Chip Cookie.  It was soooo good and the best part of it was it had peanut butter chips in it.  You start out with the basics butter, eggs, brown & white sugar, flour, baking powder & soda, salt, & vanilla. From there you add 1 bag dark chocolate chips & 1 bag peanut butter chips.  Cut up 2 Hershey chocolate bars and 1 cup walnuts or pecans, whatever you have on hand.  The best part is the oats that go into at the end because it adds texture to the cookie and gives a great nutty flavor to it.  Bake for 9 minutes on parchment paper.  The only thing is this batter made 74 cookies so our neighbors got to have some too, not like they didn't want any to begin with.

Hope you all enjoy these as much as my family did. Coming up in the next blog will be the Berry Berry Cheesecake. Have a wonderful week & hopefully cooler weather will soon follow here in Houston.
