Pan Fried Pork Chops with Compound Butter
Hey Y'all,
Hope everyone is enjoying their week so far. I have been so busy with my two new jobs that I haven't been able to post anything but that doesn't mean we haven't been cooking. So, what I am bring you is such a delicious recipe that is easy to make and everyone will love it.
First thing that we are going to make is the Compound Butter. The ingredients are 1 stick Butter (room temperature), 1 tsp. Basil, 1 tsp. Oregano, 1/2 tsp. Rosemary, 4 Garlic cloves minced, Salt & Pepper. In a bowl whip the room temperature butter until smooth. Add the rest of the ingredients to the butter and mix together until blended. Take a piece of saran wrap and lay it flat on the counter. Take the butter mixture and place it in the middle of the saran wrap. Fold the wrap in half over the butter and start to roll it so the butter comes to a log form. Once the butter is in the form of a log wrap it tight with the rest of the saran wrap and place in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
For the Pork Chops you will need 1.5 cups of Flour, 6 boneless Pork Chops, 4 tbsp. Slap Ya Mama's Seasoning, and Vegetable Oil. Take the chops out of the package and place on a cutting board. With a knife you are going to first butterfly them. Once they are butterflied cut the butterfly in half which will give you to thin sliced cutlets of Pork. In a bowl mix together the flour and seasoning. Get out a skillet and fill it with about 1/4 cup of Vegetable Oil, you will have to add more oil through out the cooking process because the pork gives off very little grease. Heat over medium heat. While skillet is heating up take your pork cutlets and flour them with the flour mixture on both sides and shake of excess flour. Once oil is heated, place 3-4 pork cutlets in the pan and cook for 2-4 minutes per side. Once they are done cooking place them on a plate lined with paper. Then grab your butter out of the fridge and slice the butter. Place one slice of butter on each pork cutlet once it is done cooking. This way the butter can melt over the pork and keep it moist.
This dish is absolutely amazing!!!! It is so easy and only takes about 1 hour from start to finish. With the left over butter I make mash potatoes with this dish and throw the rest of the butter in the potatoes. You get the aroma from all the flavors in the pork and from the butter. The pork chops are so juicy and tender to eat. They are so easy to cut you don't need a knife to cut them. I have made this dish before with using different ingredients in the butter such as sun-dried tomatoes, chipotle peppers, and saute onions. The compound butter can be made into anything that your family enjoys. I hope this inspires you and your family to cook an easy and delicious meal this week. Next time I will be bringing you our Pina Colada Cheesecake, it is so good. Hope everyone has a wonderful evening and I will see ya next time.
