Parker House Rolls
Hey Y'all,
Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. The Super Bowl was a great time and it became a wonderful time for us too cook. I can't believe January just came and went because I have no idea what even happened that month. Hopefully now things will start to slow down so I can be more on top of what I have to do. Valentine's Day is just right around the corner and instead of going out you should make the one you love a wonderful meal. These roll are so wonderful and do great literally with everything.
The ingredients are 1.5 cups Whole Milk, 1 stick Unsalted Butter, .5 cup Sugar, 1 pkg. Active Dry Yeast, .5 cup Warm Water, 3 Eggs, 1.5 tsp. Salt, & 6 cups Bread Flour. You can use regular baking flour if you have that on hand but the bread flour made the rolls lighter and fluffy.
Place milk in a small saucepan and bring to a simmer. Remove from the heat, stir in the butter and sugar and let cool. Dissolve yeast in warm water and let sit until foamy. Combine milk mixture, eggs, yeast, salt, and 1/2 of the flour in a mixer with the dough attachment and mix until smooth. Add the remaining flour, 1/2 cup at a time, and stir until a smooth ball forms. Remove from the bowl and knead by hand on a floured surface for about 5 minutes. Place in greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place until doubled in bulk, about 60 to 70 minutes. On a floured surface, punch down the dough and shape into desired shapes. Place on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet. Cover again and let rise until doubled, about 30 to 40 minutes. Preheat the oven 350 degrees F. Bake for about 20 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from the oven and brush with melted butter before serving.

These rolls are Bobby Flays recipe and this is the best roll recipe that I have ever found and tried. They are so light and fluffy and literally just melt in your mouth. For the butter on the rolls I got a stick brought it to room temperature and added 3 tbsp. Honey. Mixed it together and brushed on top of the rolls. It gave the rolls a little bit of a sweet flavor that was so good. I hope that your family enjoyed these rolls as much as my family and friends have. Next time I am going to be continuing the Valentine's meal with Stuffed Beef Tenderloin. It is so impressive and delicious that you can serve to anyone and they will not believe that you made it. See ya next time and have a wonderful evening.
Yum, this recipe sounds delicious! I am definitely going to have to give it a try. Thanks for posting!
