Steak Marsala

Hey Y'all,

Hope everyone is enjoying their week so far.  It is hard to believe that we are only 10 days away from Christmas.  Hope that your shopping is coming to a close or if your like me you still have a ways to go.  Since I was tired of eating Chicken Marsala all the time I decided that I am going to use some of the steaks in my freezer and make Steak Marsala.  You just change some items in the Chicken Marsala recipe and you have an awesome base for any meat you want to use.
The ingredients that you will need are 2 - 2.5 lbs Ribeye, 8 oz. Prosciutto finely diced, 16 oz. Crimini Mushrooms sliced with stems removed, 1 cup Marsala Wine, 1 cup Beef Stock, 2 tbsp. Butter, 4 tbsp. Rosemary Garlic Seasoning, Salt & Pepper.
First take you steaks out of the fridge and let them come up to room temperature.  Turn the grill on to medium high heat.  Once the steaks have come to room temperature season with 3 tbsp. Rosemary Garlic, Salt and Pepper.  Place the steaks on the grill and cook them Medium Rare, because they are going to cook a longer in the sauce to a medium.  Take the steaks off the grill and let them rest.  In a pot place the butter in it and heat up on medium heat.  Once butter is melted add the prosciutto and mushrooms.  Saute for about 10 minutes or until tender.  Then add the Marsala Wine and Beef Stock to the prosciutto mushroom mixture.  Season with 1 tbsp. Rosemary Garlic seasoning, Salt & Pepper.  Let it reduce in half for about 10 - 15 minutes.  Then slice your steaks into strips following the grain of the meat.  Then add you meat to the Marsala sauce and cook for about 2 minutes.  Serve over Garlic Mash Potatoes. Enjoy!!!!!

My Sister is not a big steak fan so I used the exact same Marsala base and just add in a separate pot 6 Shrimp.  Cook them for about 5 - 8 minutes.  Serve over Garlic Mash Potatoes.  If you wanted to do Shrimp instead of steak for the whole meal instead of beef stock you can buy a seafood stock instead.

This meal is so delicious!!!! You get the wonderful flavors of the garlic and rosemary throughout the dish.  Then you get a bit of the smokey flavor from the steak that was on the grill. The meat is tender and juicy.  It goes great with the mushrooms and prosciutto because what does bacon not go good with.  This is meal that will impress anyone that you serve it too.  It is a great break from the everyday Chicken Marsala.  I hope that your family and friends enjoy this as much as mine did.  Next time I will be showing you my sister's Cinnamon Sugar Biscuits, super easy and so amazing.  Hope you have a wonderful week and we will see ya next time.
