Melted Crayons

Hey Y'all,

I hope that everyone is having a wonderful day.  We have been busy getting ready for going back to school around here and fixing up the master bathroom.  We had new slate put in the bathroom about a month ago.  So now we need to paint the walls, find new vanities and shelving for the bathroom.  Lots going on but will turn out beautiful in the end.  I made these melted crayons back when school was ending for gifts to the children.  So I thought this would be a perfect time to share with y'all as a great back to school craft for the kids to do with their old crayons.
All you need is crayons and mini muffin tin.
First thing is start pealing off all the paper that is wrapped around the crayons.  Then once the paper is pealed, break the crayons into pieces.  Place different colors of crayons in the mini muffin tins.  You want to fill them up all the way with crayons.  Place in the oven at 350 for about 10 minutes.  Once the crayons have melted remove from oven and place on the counter till completely cooled.  Once cooled run a knife around the edges and they will just pop right out.

These are so easy and cute to make for kids!!!  They make great party favors, classroom gifts or make for your own kids instead of throwing away the pieces.  You can mix and match any color that goes well together.  The best thing is you can do these with your children and let them figure out what colors go well together.  I hope that your family enjoys this craft as much as mine did.  Next time I am going to bring y'all Herb Shrimp in a foil packet.  Easy for summer and easy clean up.  Have a great day and see y'all next time.
